Why Can't Multi-Channel Guests // External Members Be Added to Axolo on Slack?
We understand that managing permissions and access for team members is crucial to your workflow. However, due to limitations in Slack’s API, Axolo is unable to integrate with multi-channel guest accounts on Slack.
To enable a user to be part of Axolo channels and workflows, they must be a full member of your Slack workspace. This is because Slack does not provide sufficient API access for apps like Axolo to interact with multi-channel guests.
If you want a multi-channel guest to participate in Axolo:
Upgrade their Slack account to a full member:
Go to your Slack workspace settings.
Navigate to the guest user’s profile and change their role to a full member.
Invite them as a full member to Axolo:
Once their role is updated, they will automatically be included in Axolo’s workflows and channels.
